Skin can become blistered following a severe sunburn. Sunburns on the shoulders and upper chest are very common and range in color from pink to red. A sunburn can be especially striking in contrast to areas protected by clothing. Severe sunburns such as this one often result in blistering. If this person wore more than a watch, such as sunscreen, she would have not gotten a sunburn.
