Personal Statement and Interests

I began focusing on tropical medicine, parasitology, public health, and disease prevention at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. These issues are particularly relevant in developing countries, for travel medicine, and in global disease surveillance.

I am focused on caring for the underserved and on studying diseases that disproportionally affect the world's poorest countries. In pursuit of knowledge, I continue to travel, most recently visiting leprosy camps in south and central Vietnam.
