Displayed below are images of skin diseases found on the feet in children. Some skin rashes found here are spread from another part of the body while, other times, the rash originates on the feet. Warts and moles are common on the feet and, although they typically pose no health risk, a careful watch is necessary to make sure they do not change or enlarge. The feet are at risk for many rashes since they are in contact with dirty shoes and dirty socks as well as fungi and bacteria exposed to feet when children are barefoot. Toenails can be difficult to keep clean, so they pose an additional risk for fungal infections. Click an image below for more information such as when to seek medical care for the child.
