Child, Female, Hand (Edit search)
The photos below display skin diseases common on children's hands. The hands are used so regularly in daily life that they often spread infectious rashes. Scabies, a highly contagious, itchy disease caused by a mite that enters the skin of the webs of the fingers, is a disease that is commonly found on the hands. Some skin rashes are specific to the hands, such as hand-foot-and-mouth disease, which causes tiny white blisters on the palm. Other diseases, such as psoriasis (a chronic thickening of the skin) or eczema (a dry, itchy, red rash) may be all over the body, hands included. Since the hands are in contact with soaps, detergents, lotions, and other irritating chemicals, they are constantly prone to developing the itchy, red rash of contact dermatitis.
